The Massachusetts Attorney General, Andrea Joy Campbell, released a report on September 30, 2026 that documents more than 270 Catholic clergy members abusing nearly 1,000 children in the Fall River, Springfield and Worcester dioceses.
The state investigation, which began in 2019, culminated in findings that span the three dioceses and detail the extent of the abuse.
The report serves to disclose the results of the multi‑year inquiry into child sexual abuse within the Catholic Church in Massachusetts.
