Massachusetts state government introduced legislation on Monday that would keep the state on Atlantic time throughout the year, eliminating the need for biannual clock changes.

The proposal can take effect only if at least two neighboring states agree to adopt the same schedule.

The move comes as several other states across the United States are also examining the possibility of staying on daylight‑saving time permanently.
