On August 12, 2026, a Roxbury man was charged with a federal kidnapping after he forced his pregnant girlfriend into her SUV at gunpoint in East Providence, Rhode Island, and then drove the vehicle into Massachusetts.
The SUV entered Interstate 93 in Milton, where it struck several other cars before state troopers apprehended the man.
