A Wareham police officer, identified as Ryan Gomes, has been charged with rape and with threatening his girlfriend with a weapon. The charges were filed on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, in Wareham, Massachusetts.
Investigators allege that Gomes repeatedly pointed a firearm or a Taser at his on‑and‑off girlfriend during arguments and that he raped her during the same period of abuse.
