On October 13, 2026, more than half a dozen lawsuits were filed in Chicago alleging that the Archdiocese of Chicago allowed a decades‑long sexual abuse ring at a South Side parish.
The complaints, brought by Chicago attorneys from the firm Hart McLaughlin & Eldridge, say the archdiocese knew about the abuse but did nothing to stop it.
These filings add to ongoing legal scrutiny of the Catholic Church’s handling of sexual abuse allegations.
