The Chicago History Museum announced that in March 2027 it will open an exhibit titled “Westside Love Map,” featuring hand‑drawn maps of three West Side neighborhoods and a short film of oral histories.
The display includes 14 hand‑drawn maps that focus on Austin, North Lawndale and Garfield Park, alongside a brief film that captures residents’ personal narratives.
The museum described the project as a way to highlight the cultural and historical character of these neighborhoods.
