Major streets surrounding Grant Park will be closed and parking limited beginning at 4 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and will remain in effect through the weekend to accommodate the Chicago Marathon.
The annual marathon draws thousands of runners and spectators, leading the city to implement these street closures and parking restrictions around the Grant Park area during the event weekend.
