The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events has issued a request for owners of Norway spruce or fir trees to submit their trees for possible selection as the centerpiece of the 2026 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 20, 2026, at Millennium Park near North Michigan Avenue and East Washington Street.
The chosen tree will become the focal point of the city’s annual holiday celebration, continuing the tradition of displaying and illuminating a Christmas tree in the park each year.
