Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the identification of all 55 decomposing bodies and a bag of organs recovered from the South Chicago Chapel in South Deering, Chicago, during October 2026.
Chicago police had uncovered the remains more than two months earlier, prompting a forensic investigation that led to the recent identifications.
