On Monday, Oct 26, 2026, Aldermen Pat Dowell, Scott Waguespack and Nicole Lee called a special meeting of the Chicago City Council at City Hall to consider actions that could create a $75 million shortfall in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s budget.

The meeting is meant to address the compromise that facilitated Stonepeak Partners’ $2.53 billion purchase of the city’s parking meters, a deal the three aldermen negotiated.
