E. coli Recall Expands to Walmart and Trader Joe’s
The recall of frozen GreenWise Organic IQF blueberries was expanded on Oct. 2, 2026 to cover extra bags sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s across Illinois and over two dozen states due to potential E. coli contamination. The original July 3, 2026 recall is being broadened because of new safety concerns.

On Oct. 2, 2026, Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. broadened its recall of frozen GreenWise Organic IQF blueberries to include additional bags sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s stores in Illinois and more than two dozen other states, citing possible E. coli contamination.
The recall, first issued on July 3, 2026 for specific bags of the frozen product, has now been widened after new safety concerns emerged.
