A dense fog advisory has been put in place for counties north and west of Chicago, remaining in effect until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The NBC 5 Storm Team, with meteorologist Iisha Scott, reported that Tuesday started with foggy conditions, leading to the advisory.
The same weather system is expected to produce several rounds of heavy rain, beginning overnight Wednesday, September 30, and continuing through Thursday, September 1, and Friday, September 2, 2026.
