Four individuals were taken into custody after a police pursuit that began in Gary, Indiana and ended in Calumet City, Illinois on the night of September 25, 2026.
The pursuit centered on a suspect wanted for a charge of strangulation and other felonies; that suspect and three others were arrested.
Law enforcement agencies from both states followed the suspect across the Indiana‑Illinois border, resulting in the arrests in Chicago’s south suburbs.
