Itz‑Chel By Peke’s will close permanently on Sunday, Oct. 4, ending eight months of operation in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Owner Johnathan Macedo said the shutdown allows him to concentrate on expanding his original restaurant, Peke's Pozole, in Archer Heights.
The eatery opened in Pilsen eight months ago and will cease operations on the specified date, with the owner directing resources toward the growth of Peke's Pozole.
