On November 2, 2026, U.S. District Judge Andrew Boutros ordered Chicago U.S. Attorney April Perry to appear in federal court and give sworn testimony in the Broadview Six prosecution.
The judge said Perry’s claim that she was unaware of staff misconduct was hard to believe and also required testimony from the lead prosecutor and three other attorneys.
The order follows the failed Broadview Six prosecution, which involved six defendants.
