A 26-year-old man was shot dead on September 25 at about 7 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in Grand Crossing after a gun was pointed at him, leading to a car chase and gunfire.
Chicago police reported that the victim fled when a person in a passing vehicle aimed a firearm at him. The pursuit continued, and the vehicle fired, resulting in the fatal shooting.
