All Metra BNSF trains were halted Tuesday morning after a man's body was discovered about one mile east of the Naperville station, creating extensive delays and cancellations for commuters in the western suburbs.

The find, made around 4 a.m., prompted a death investigation. Since Metra does not operate trains at that hour, the entire BNSF line service was shut down.

Metra and BNSF Railway officials, including spokesperson Martha Hill, confirmed the shutdown and advised riders of the ongoing disruptions.
