Highway 40 will be completely shut down in Senneville on October 23 and 24, 2026. The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable has directed motorists to use the local service roads and the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge while the closure is in effect.
The full closure is intended to allow the installation of new eastbound concrete slabs on the highway. This work forms part of the province's broader highway upgrade programme.
