The Liberal Party of Canada announced on October 22 that former Coalition Avenir Québec member of the National Assembly Chantal Soucy will run as its candidate in the upcoming federal byelection for the Saint‑Hyacinthe‑Bagot‑Acton riding.
Soucy previously served as a longtime member of the Quebec National Assembly for the provincial riding of Saint‑Hyacinthe with the Coalition Avenir Québec.
