On October 15, 2026, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority installed four new elevators at the 42nd Street–Bryant Park/Fifth Avenue subway complex. Each elevator displays a “Made Possible by Congestion Pricing” seal.
The installations are part of transit upgrades financed by the Manhattan vehicle‑tolling program, whose congestion pricing scheme began in 2025 and directs toll revenue toward subway improvements such as elevator installations.
