Federal prosecutors say a suspect sent a text reading “I got straight poison” and then handed fentanyl to students at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Midtown Manhattan during April 2026.

The incident took place on the FIT campus, and federal authorities are investigating the fentanyl distribution on the college grounds.
