The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced on Oct. 23, 2026 that it will construct a deck over the Lincoln Tunnel approach in Midtown Manhattan. The deck will be used to store buses and supplies while the Midtown bus terminal is demolished and rebuilt.
Following the terminal project, the deck is slated to be transformed into a public park within ten years, adding new green space to the area.
