On October 31, 2026, artist Desmond Hansen repaired a vandalized portrait of Macklemore that was displayed on a signal box at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Avalon Street in West Seattle.

The mural, which Hansen originally painted in early 2019, had been defaced, and he was seen restoring it on the day it was reported vandalized.
