The National Symphony Orchestra announced it will stage three concerts at alternative venues while the Kennedy Center remains closed. The first performance is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026.
Two of the concerts will be held at Northern Virginia Community College, and one will take place at the Strathmore arts center in Bethesda, Maryland.
The orchestra, under the direction of Leonard Slatkin, is touring locally this season because the Kennedy Center continues to be unavailable.
