Premier Paul St‑Pierre Plamondon announced that the new Minister of Education, Joël Arseneau, has been instructed to organize a province‑wide general assembly on education, with the earliest possible date at the start of 2027.
The decision comes after a two‑year campaign by the Confédération des syndicats du Québec (CSQ) seeking such an assembly. The government’s authorization now permits the minister to set the schedule for the event.
