Decomposed Woman Found in Shallow Grave Near Rockaway Park

On October 24, 2026, at about 9:42 p.m., detectives from the New York Police Department’s 100th Precinct uncovered the decomposing body of a woman in a shallow grave at the intersection of Beach 58 Street and Almeda Avenue, near Rockaway Community Park in Queens.

The discovery has prompted a homicide investigation by Queens detectives of the NYPD.
