A former officer with the Mantua Township Police Department was found guilty on Oct. 16, 2026, of official misconduct and computer crimes after altering police documents.
The officer changed records linked to a 2021 fight that involved the husband of a woman with whom the officer was having an affair, altering 46 documents related to that investigation.
Law enforcement officials noted that the conviction arose from the earlier 2021 altercation and the subsequent probe into the officer's conduct.
