A First Alert has been issued for a severe storm that may bring damaging winds and a tornado threat to the Philadelphia region on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Morning showers and a warm front lifted temperatures to 78°F earlier in the day before a strong cold front moved in, setting the stage for the expected severe weather.
