A house fire on Hollywood Avenue in Berks County, Pennsylvania, resulted in the death of one man following a welfare check early on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Police, a SWAT team, bomb technicians and fire investigators were dispatched to the scene to manage the blaze and conduct the investigation.
In response to the incident, schools within the Antietam school district were closed for safety reasons.
