Crown prosecutors have asked a court to impose a five‑year prison sentence on a Toronto man convicted of causing a death after a high‑speed crash.
The sentencing request follows a conviction that the driver was traveling 156 km/h, more than three times the posted speed limit, in a residential neighbourhood, leading to a pedestrian’s death.
The request was filed on 1 October 2026 in Toronto, Ontario.
