Police officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment building in North York, near Lawrence Avenue West and William R. Allen Road, on the morning of October 4, 2026. They discovered a single fatality and opened a homicide investigation.

The Toronto Police Service homicide unit is now leading the inquiry into the death that occurred in the residential building.
