Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has cleared a Toronto police officer of any wrongdoing after the officer shot a suspect during a raid on a North York apartment, ruling the use of lethal force justified.
The suspect had been accused of murdering Const. Marc Pinizzotto, prompting the police operation that resulted in the shooting. The provincial watchdog’s review found the officer’s actions lawful.
