Toronto police are looking for an unidentified man who posed as a handyman and stole more than $5,000 worth of jewelry from an 80-year-old woman in a North York apartment on August 27.

The theft took place in a residence near Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West. Detectives have issued a public appeal for information about the suspect, who entered the home by claiming to be a handyman.

The incident occurred during the summer in the North York district of Toronto.
