Ontario seniors-care experts have asked the provincial government to provide funding for Enhanced Assisted Living homes that serve seniors who need more care than home services but do not require long‑term care beds.
The request is intended to address the province's shortage of "missing middle" senior housing, which leaves many older adults without suitable care options.
