The Supreme Court of Canada is set to hear arguments on a constitutional challenge to legislation that enables major redevelopment of Ontario Place. The hearing is taking place in Ottawa on October 15, 2026.
A coalition of challengers argues the legislation is unconstitutional, while the Crown and the Ontario Attorney General are asking the court to dismiss the case.
Ontario previously passed the legislation to streamline large‑scale changes at the former exhibition site known as Ontario Place.
