On October 14, 2026, Toronto Police Service announced that a third Canadian soldier has been arrested and charged in a kidnapping investigation taking place in Toronto, Ontario.
The new charge follows the earlier detention of two members of Canada’s military reserves who were also linked to the same investigation. The police and the Canadian Armed Forces are working together on the case.
