Quebec announced new funding intended to address homelessness, and the mayor of Montreal praised the allocation as a boost for the city’s efforts.
The announcement was made during a Council of Ministers meeting that included about a dozen elected officials representing Montreal and its surrounding suburbs.
The mayor expressed satisfaction with the provincial support for tackling homelessness in the region.
