The City of Montreal is evaluating three reconstruction scenarios for Rue Berri in the downtown core, a street that has been closed for about nine months since January 2026. One of the options would convert the street to a north‑bound one‑way, widen the sidewalks and introduce additional greenery.

The three scenarios are being examined as part of the effort to rebuild the downtown corridor after the prolonged closure and to improve pedestrian space and landscaping.
